What does Sun Rising offer?

Lying on the edge of the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Sun Rising is a simply beautiful place to be laid to rest. With growing native woodland and wildflower meadows, it provides a truly peaceful location that allows us to remember and reflect, whilst also caring for the natural landscape. Each tree and bulb planted adds to the ecological value of this carefully managed site, which will become a nature reserve – a gift for our children and grandchildren.

What is the company’s background?

Five years ago, Emma Restall Orr and husband, David, teamed up with ecologist and conservationist, Mark Graham, to establish an affordable burial place which was both ethically sound and environmentally friendly. The first service took place in June 2006, and between 30 and 50 people are now buried at Sun Rising every year.
