What does Stratford Music Centre offer?
Whether you’re 5 or 85 years old, if you would like to learn to play an instrument, improve your playing or perform with others, Stratford Music Centre will make this happen. Some instruments are available to hire and the groups welcome new members, in fact you can try one out free of charge!
What is the company’s background?
Stratford Music Centre was established in 1973 and has been run independently by Margaret Tattersall for the past eight years. It’s a thriving musical metropolis with a can-do attitude to all musical trends – hosting street dance/drama courses and rock gigs as well as their popular annual concert in Stratford’s Civic Hall. Hundreds of pupils pass through their summer school every year taking part in contemporary as well as more traditional musical activities. If an orchestra or band doesn’t exist for your instrument then the centre will consider setting one up. Last year they formed a ukulele group on request and it already boasts 13 members.
Why should you choose Stratford Music Centre?
Lessons typically take place in the evenings and Saturday mornings so there’s no missing school and large discounts are available for the less well-off. 30 staff serve over 400 pupils and are all qualified and CRB checked.
